What an amazing 2014 for Sparks Martial Arts!
The year started off with our Steve Snyder, RMNU annual Jiu Jitsu tournament. Our team was able to compete and learn with other teammates from around the southeast! Next up was Sparks Martial Arts annual Kickboxing Camp in March. Some of the best Kick-boxers from the Joe Lewis Fighting Systems came together for this 2 day event. Thank You to all who helped plan and teach, as well as those in attendance.
Then we took our team on the road to NYC! Sparks Martial Arts Ladies were featured on Fox News, as they fought their way to Gold in the IBJJF New York Open! Great work Ladies!
In June, Sensei Sparks earned his 2nd Degree Black Belt with the Joe Lewis Fighting Systems, making him one of twenty active second degrees in the entire organization! OSU!
In August we were rocking outside for our summer cookout! Games , Food and fun lead that beautiful day.
September came “rolling in” as our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu team had many promotions while Master Robson Moura was in High Point, NC. Sensei Sparks earned his purple belt in BJJ!
October lead our team to Tampa for the RMNU annual Brazilian Jiu Jitsu camp as well as to Wilmington NC for the Joe Lewis Fighting Systems annual conference. Sensei Sparks was awarded instructor of the year!
Finally in December, 13 individuals (youth and adults) tested for the rank of Black Belt at Sparks Martial arts!
